2022 Viognier

Our 2022 Viognier from Cienega Valley AVA is a dangerously refreshing wine. One sip and you might find yourself abandoning all responsibilities to spend the afternoon sipping it at your favorite sunny spot (ours is the beach). It was tank-aged without any oak influence, giving it a naked and unapologetic expression of pure fruitiness. The nose and palate are bursting with delicate aromas of honeysuckle, jasmine, apricot, and peach, as well as bright citrus notes of lemon and grapefruit, with a touch of honey and a hint of minerality to keep things interesting. The finish is like a mic drop: clean, lingering, and refreshingly zesty.

It's a great match for light to medium-flavored dishes, such as grilled shrimp and scallops with a citrus salsa, sushi, and pasta dishes with a light or creamy sauce like alfredo or zesty lemon arugula pesto. Just be warned: this wine may steal the show, so make sure your food can hold its own!
