2023 Viognier
This is dangerously refreshing wine. One sip and you might find yourself abandoning all responsibilities to spend the afternoon sipping it at your favorite sunny spot (ours is the beach). It was tank-aged without any oak influence, giving it a naked and unapologetic expression of pure fruitiness. Clean, fresh, and vibrant, the wine explodes with fresh aromas and flavors, from yellow stone fruit (peach, apricot) and tropical fruit (pineapple, guava) to citrus (tangerine, mandarin orange). On the palate the wine is fruity, floral, and friendly with a crisp long, lingering finish.
It's a great match for light to medium-flavored dishes, such as grilled shrimp and scallops with a citrus salsa, sushi, seared ahi with mango salsa, crab mac & cheese; brie with honey; Arugula salad with fennel.
