2018 Chardonnay
An elegant old-word style Chardonnay that quietly presents lovely citrus notes of lemon blossom, lemon zest, lemon curd, and Mandarin orange yielding to green apple and Asian pear with a touch of vanilla bean and cream. Good balance between fruit and acid.
Food Pairing:
Very food-friendly Chardonnay. Pair with a wide variety of foods. Arugula salad with citrus segments; poached trout or Monterey Bay rockfish in a lemon-butter sauce; anything with curry sauce or vanilla sauce; grilled shrimp with lime & avocado salsa; cheese board featuring French triple-cream brie and quince paste; scallops sautéed in butter; pasta with fresh cremini mushroom and cream sauce.
